Radio-frequency and Nerve Injection

Radio-frequency is considered one of the most recent treatments for chronic pain. The doctor inserts a very small needle in the nerves responsible for the pain where the needle is connected to the radio-frequency machine which in turn localizes precisely the location of the nerves responsible for the pain.

This is either image guided or ultra-sound guided.

Radio-frequency device sends certain waves that produce either thermal treatment or neuro-modulation to the affected nerves without affection of the function of the nerve and this is done by the most recent devices without surgical incisions or stitches. Then, the patient goes home after one hour of the treatment and returns to his usual life after two days.
